On June 16, FTMC welcomed guests from the Leibniz Institute for Catalysis (LIKAT) – one of the leading scientific institutions in Europe specializing in catalysis research.
FTMC Director Prof. Dr Ramūnas Skaudžius and LIKAT Scientific Director Prof. Dr Robert Francke signed a Memorandum of Understanding – a document that expresses both parties' willingness to initiate collaboration.
Our guests were introduced to FTMC's activities and ongoing research in environmental monitoring, catalysis, spectroscopy, electrochemical conversion, semiconductor and laser technologies. The LIKAT representatives also toured several of our laboratories and engaged in discussions with our scientists about potential avenues for joint research.
We are delighted to take this important step in strengthening bilateral cooperation and we hope this meeting marks the beginning of a sustainable and science-driven partnership between Lithuanian and German research institutions.
